1.3. Searching Resumes

When performing a search for applicants, a tab called Resume appears. On this tab there is a space to enter in a resume search string.

Searching resumes is like searching on Google: type the keywords you'd like to find. The system assumes that you want all the words. You can, however, use AND, OR and NOT, as well as brackets, to refine your search further.

Here are some examples:

word wordperfect
finds all resumes that contain both "word" and "wordperfect"

word or wordperfect
finds all resumes that contain "word" or "wordperfect"

(word or wordperfect) and manager
finds  all resumes that contain "manager" and either "word" or "wordperfect"

"visual basic"
finds all resumes that contain the phrase "visual basic"
