6.2. Adding and Editing Users

Select Tools->Admin Options->User Management.... You will see this dialog:

 

To add a user: 

Click the Add User... button. This will bring up the Add User dialog:

 

Fill in the fields as required:

  • User Name:
  • Full Name:
  • Password:

Press the OK button to save the user. They will now appear in the user list.

To edit a user: 

Either double-click on the user name to edit, or select the user and press the Edit User... button. Modify the information as above.

To set permissions for a user: 

It should be noted that with few exceptions, you should not assign permissions to individual users. Instead, use groups which are much faster and more effective.

If you do require setting permissions on individual users, simply select the permission on the right side of the screen and drag it onto the user on the left side. Alternately, select the user on the left and the permission on the right and click the arrow pointing left ( ).
